Can someone tell me what type of egg in a flower bed would be that is silver/gray about the size as the end of my little finger. Several clumped together. Now I noticed at the other end of flower bed another clump of eggs.

are they jelly [jello I think you say in the usa] like or hard. they could be an emerging clump of fungus if not jello. I'd be worried if snails laid eggs the size of the tip of my little finger ;o)
any chance of a photo?

Most likely slugs/snails.
