I hope someone can help me regarding rose cuttings. Some time ago I pushed some rose cuttings (probably Compassion) into a pot and also into the ground. These two have grown quite well in the pot as well as one of those pushed into the ground. How long should I keep them in the pot? Should I separate them and pot them on? I'm anxious not to lose them having got them this far. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd be inclined to separate them and pot up the one on the right into a tall narrow pot (the sort that clematis and roses come in). The one one left looks like it might be ready to go in the ground. Add a dose of mycorrhizal rooting powder in both cases.

A belated thank you for your answers. The roses are now potted up separately and my fingers are crossed as there wasn't as many roots as I expected looking at the top growth.

I think the sooner, the better before the two root systems become a tangled mess. They would develop better if they each had their own big pot to grow on.
