I have been given a small rooted cutting of a Tree Peony. Can anyone tell me how big it is likely to grow and what conditions it likes? Thanks

There is a neighbours tree peony in my pictures which is years old. You can see how big it is compared with the washing line.

Mine are nearer to 2 metres and grow in strongly alkaline, dry soil.

Thanks everyone...I've taken a look at your pics Cammomile, and it's definitely going to grow too big for my garden. I might have to give it away, which is a shame, I understand it's a beautiful yellow.

I've got a yellow one which only flowered for the first time last year at three years old, but didn't flower this year. Mine's got to go too.
