Someone I met last week told me that her son had bought her some topsoil that deterred weed growth. Could you tell me, please, if such a product exists and if it does, where would I be able to purchase some?

the top soil if put on in a thick enough layer may kill any small weeds already growing but seeds will blow in and grow in it anyway. and one mans weed is another man's treasure.

A weed is a misplaced plant - so why let somebody else decide which plants you should grow? I never heard of it.
