I have grown some Unwins bush tomatoes this year, which I imagined would be quite compact. The info on the packet says that there is no need for staking or for nipping out the side shoots. To my horror the plants are very straggly and each is spreading to about 5-6feet across. Recent high winds have broken several branches and split others which are surviving, The crop is quite good however and the fruits are orange and sweet as described.
My question is, what constitutes a bush plant?
