Answers
No special requirements, just rake in a general fertiliser such as Growmore granules round the base spring. Keep watered during excessively dry spells. If it came through last winter unscathed, you don't need to worry about protection in the winter either.

Good grief - they grow 20 feet high? No wonder they appear so often on the website!

They can do, Cestina, though according to the books, they only get to a "maximum of 12 feet in UK", ha ha.

go to torque in wales and see the 25` plus cordylines there . quite amazing . the older ones that have been in place a long time delt with last winter relativley well .these ones in wales are right on the front .a stunning place .

Torquay's the other place which has really old, very tall Cordylines - a lot taller than 12 feet! Maybe somebody should tell the writers...

i think so bamboo and they couldnt be in much more of a harsh place and theres quite a few of them thriving .
