Had this plant for many years so familiar that I have forgotten the name. Can someone remind me please

Many thanks Thorneyside, That is what it is, I knew it began with L and searched my books without luck, probably too common to put in the best books!!! I do love it, but folk keep on asking me the name and I am ashamed to say I had forgotten!!

Keep trying it's worth it. If it is any help my garden is very heavy clay and grows well and strong, but it is like a hedge down the side of my garage where I have membrane down and gravel tipped on top. So it obviously is not fussy!

It looks like Linaria purpurea T8. They seed all round but easy to pull up if you don't want them.
