Can anybody tell me the name of this plant please. The flower buds look like chinese lanterns only much small and colored green through to black at the stem. The flower is pale mauve.

Could it be a datura? It reminds me of a plant that someone asked about just a couple of days ago, but I can't find the question just now. That one was a datura. Does this bud could open out into a white trumpet?
It also reminds me of Physalis - could be P.angulata if the flowers are open and cream, veined with purple on the back.
