Ordinary multi purpose should do, sun/part shade. Keep it well watered currently if you're having hot weather. You can also use John Innes No. 2 compost - I assume you have it in a pot - if you do, make sure the pot is large enough, if the roots are cramped, that might be why its not growing well - this shrub wants to get five feet by five feet.
