Amelanchier
I have an amelanchier in an isolated bed. I planted it 2 years ago and although it blooms nicely, the leaves curl a little longitudinally during the summer and look nondescript and last year it produced no autumn colour. I have kept it watered. The blurb says it prefers a slightly acid soil and mine is more or less neutral. What should I do or add to improve things please??

Apart from acidity, changes in temperature and sunlight can also change leaf colour in autumn; something which you cannot control. So if you are concerned then I would give a light dressing of Sulphate of Ammonia to make the soil more acidic.

Thanks Jimmy, I will try the sulphate of ammonia. I had no idea what to add.
