I have grown a Victoria Plum tree from a plum stone, would it grow fruit if I planted it in the garden?

Probably - but you won't know what kind of fruit it will produce, because they don't come true from seed or pits. You might get a very large tree with luscious fruit, or a smaller tree with horrible, bitter fruit, there's no way of knowing. Bear in mind particularly that most plums are grafted onto a different rootstock to keep them at a certain size - St. Julien rootstock gives a larger tree, Pixy a small tree, and you won't have that for yours, so you won't know what size the tree will be.
