help last year poor crop carrots pots beetroot etc most of them went to seed right , i said lets get soil tested which i did, it was lacking nutrients
this year started of well good growth in all veggies, just pulled up spuds poor growth, beetroot shot, carrots about 1inch dia 1 inch long onions are ok. looking for help before i go and stick my head in a watering can i stay in n e scotland are we talking excesive rain as the cause?

Hi Fraser when did you plant your potatoes and what variety did you plant? Our first earlies are a decent size now and were planted late March. Also potatoes like lots of good organic matter underneath them whilst carrots and beetroot need a much leaner soil with a very fine tilth. I doubt that the rain has caused a problem we've had considerable amounts this year. Lack of sun can be a problem though.
