Hippeastrum question (amaryllis ). After flowering last Christmas I let the leaves develop indoors until it was warm enough to put into greenhouse. I've kept it moist and fed occasionally . Leaves are fine but there is a flower bud emerging. Do I cut off the leaves now or just leave alone and bring it into the house for flowering? Thanks

You don't usually cut the leaves off until they have pretty well died back after you've let it dry out in late summer. if the flower bud is growing now you might just as well enjoy it.
