Onions - is this a problem ?
Firstly folks, please tell me the photo is the right way up.
I had about 30 onions in this small bed. The tops eventually turned yellow and toppled over and we took them up, 3 weeks ago. They were a nice size and are now stored.
These last 5 or 6 are quite different, they have very dark green tops, show no signs of turning yellow and are not falling over like the rest, they're bigger and still growing. Is this normal or is there a problem with them ?

Thanks B, I got one up yesterday, seems fine and as big as a tennis ball. But I guess we'd better eat it first.
And we'd better get the others up too ?
No problem - it'll give me room to put my lettuce plants in.

The dark green tops are not leaves, Hank, but flower stems indicating that these onions have 'bolted'. They won't keep and should be used quite quickly.
