What is the best soil for lavender?

Answers

Poor soil - gritty or sandy. But I grow mine in heavy clay but its had a lot of grit added and I dont water them, even in this drought. This year was the best ever and they are about 9 years old.

I agree poor sandy soil is best for them. Their native growing conditions are very dry.

How do I say thanks?
