We have a silver birch in our garden that has reached a height of over 40 ft and want to know if we should have it pruned to a lower height and if so, the best time of year to have this carried out.
Thank you

Previous question
i would trim out any dead branches but i think with a silver birch they look there best whole . they dont seam to recover in the same way as other trees . it always looked like theyve been chopped down shorter so id say know if it doesnt bother you . i doubt it will get a lot taller than that much anyway realy.early spring is the best time to have work done on your tree if you must lol .
