Why are my leeks not growing?

Last year we lost all our leeks in the very wet summer. This year the leeks grew well and appeared very healthy, but are now srating to be eaten by something and are not growing very well. I do not know if it is snails or something else attacking the leaves. Have you got any solutions?

Look for slimy trails to see if it's our friends the slugs and snails, then either use slug pellets round your leeks or trap them with beer traps and dispose of them. I don't know what else eats leeks. Can you see any caterpillars or other creepy-crawlies?
