I think you must mean Tayberry - google it for pics and information

Yes it is Tayberry - named after the River Tay. It is a cross between Blackberry and Raspberry and the fruit looks rather like the latter.

And, in my opinion, isn't worth growing!

Yes, my experience of it is negative too with both thornless and thorny types. Very light crops, inconsistent flowering and soil ph sensitivity. Grow a thornless Boysenberry, a more rewarding plant!
