Has anyone tried making a butterfly feeder? I have done a couple of times but a. the foxes eat the rotton bananas I leave out and b. the wasps and ants congregate all over the nectar I put out on a dish. Any ideas remembering I live in the UK.

Put a sponge in a saucer, and moisten it with mineral water. The butterflies will come to sip the minerals. For extra attraction, use an orange-flavored sport drink (preferably all natural) but that makes for more mess and bees.

Thank you all - I am fascinated by the thought of butterflies drinking my home made nectar.
