What is happening to my lovely golden conifer?

Being golden means less chlorophyll I think and this can lead to problems darker green wouldn't get.....
I lost Choysia ternata Sundance to frost whereas the basic green lives and flowers happily
I wonder about frost or sun/windscorch.....or as Snoop says dryness, you did have that recent warm spell......
maybe it needs a more sheltered location?

Yes, wind. That will be it. Its been such a windy summer, and cold, though not particularly wet (it seemed wetter than it actually was according to the farmer). It will be wind scorch. I will remove and replace with something tougher. Thanks.

Thanks Steve. Thats strange as this is in a moist part of the border. Perhaps the damage was done last summer when it was warm and dry...but its only just started showing.
