I can only find one - but I have one, as well, and I've filled it with gravelly compost to allow for good drainage (on top of a layer of crocks) and I grow alpine plants in it. Some people add small pieces of stone as 'rocks', as well. You Garden Centre should sell alpines, so you can choose some that you like.

Will post some of some of mine tomorrow, but the pics need reducing in size and posting first.
First 12 or so pics in here might be useful

There are quite a few on here depends what you put in the search box? I have a large one and there are pics in my photos of it. Mine is filled with poor gravely soil and planted with alpines which are covered in shingle and some nice stones. I did put a cement/compost mix on the outside and this is now covered in lichen/moss and looks great. I first had mine 25 years ago. Its stood on 12" pavers at each end and the drain hole I left in place and put crocks over the base. Members who have posted pics of them include Elsiemay, Hollyeyes, Sal1914, Little, and Helofadigger take a look also look in Goypeadia container ideas? What ever you do with it? position it first as when full its impossible to move them

Yes I remember seeing your Spritz and some with veg in.

I still haven't succeeded in getting algae or moss to grow on it. I think it would have to be in the shade for that - and then the alpines would die, so I can't win. I've painted on at least three large pots of yoghurt!

Mine isnt in shade Spritz, but when I made the mixture I put the yoghurt in it and once it had hardened I kept the sides wet. I have had it since we found it in the garden of my previous house in 1985, but I cannot remember when the moss etc started - I think it has taken many years for it to weather and produce it possible 15 years before I really saw it? My urns (same age) are in full sun too and the lichen/moss on them took many years to look good thats why I hate it if it gets damaged. Perhaps its the overhanging plants that produce the shade and dampness in mine Spritz.

and you will succeed!

:-)))) I 'do' hope so, Denise! I'll do what you did, and try to dampen it after the yoghurt. LOL...Henry will be pleased - he loved 'helping' me to paint it on! ;-)
