Hi Everybody,
This is a general question. I would like to keep a plan/map of what i have planted and where I have planted it in my garden. I have been gardening for years but never kept a planting log. How do you all go about it? Do you draw a small scale map and write in it what you have planted?

If anybody is familiar with Microsoft access you could make a simple data base with all your information that you required that’s what I have done

And if you make a scale drawing of the garden, just put circles for where you have plants and use a number inside, then make a list of the numbers and what plants they are - takes up much less room on your drawing, and that's how I produce design drawings for clients.

I use a combination of things. I use the add plants section on here to list my plants with photos. I add the general location too.
then on A2 graph paper I draw a scale plan and use pencil to mark the location of the plants. Pencil so if they die or I move them I can rub them out and replace with the new sutff.
