How long do carrot seeds remain viable? I found this partially used packet of carrot seeds in the back of my desk drawer. It must be at least 3 years old. Carrots have always done very well for me. Should I try to grow these or are the seeds dead? How long do carrot seeds remain viable? Thanks for any responses.

I also used to reckon after 3 years buy new. Our old allotment steward used to chuck the whole lot out every
autumn.
