My gladioli bulbs have dried out stems from last year. Shoul I remove these before replanting. They were so good last year, grown in pots, I don't want to do anything wrong. Should I have left them undisturbed. They are

You can cut away the old dead growth from last year and replant them once danger of frost is past. If they are still firm and healthy, they should grow on.
