I can't for the life of me remember what this bush is called. Can anyone put me out of my misery.

OK then - it's a Spiraea japonica. Feeling better now? lol.

Oh aye thanks very much, now another question, shall I prune it back now or in autumn or spring even????

You're welcome. Dead-head it now, and you may well get a few new flowers, then wait until early spring and cut it down to new buds. I cut mine REALLY hard back two years ago - they came back much healthier. I cut them about half back now.

Now you see, we cut ours back to the ground as soon as the flowers have finished, otherwise it seeds all over the place.

Really? You're always telling me that your plants seed themselves, Ob! Wish mine did....;-)

Thats 'cos we never get round to dead heading when we should!

I have three - Goldflame and one of the others - 'Anthony Watererer' I think - have finished flowering, while the other one is in full bloom! It always does that, too. It must be a different cultivar, but which I have no idea.

How do I say thanks?
