Help please

First thought - a Pineapple Lily?

hmm it could be it was in our greenhouse as a bulb. When do they fill out?

Also should i leave it outside or bring it indoors?

Frost hardy but in server winters protect with mulch/bracken etc.

I have grown these in the garden but they seem to die after a couple of years or the cold winters kill them off. It would be perfectly happy out in the summer but protest it in the winter.

This is Eucomis bicolor. I have one myself, it lives in the Poly. tunnel. I doubt if it would be safe outdoors.. A real point of interest in any Garden, Thats a good picture.

Do you think it best to keep this indoors then? Or best in the greenhouse perhaps?

That depends on where you are, what temps. you get and how much shelter it has from wind. My friend has hers outside until the autumn.

Well thanks for all your help! I think we will keep it in the greenhouse when it starts to get a bit cooler. I really liked the picture of the bird Poaannua.
