Solanum.I'm thinking of putting a white solanum along a fence. My neighbour has a blue one ---some of which comes across to my side.Is this a good idea or will I regret it.Assuming I can find a plant. Thanks.

I've grown both and never regretted it. This far North (East Coast of Scotland) I find the blue flowers better and they are both knocked back in winter, but always return well in the spring. Lovely climbing plants. Have you considered Akebia Quinata? That's a very elegant climber too and you can get a cream one as well as the burgundy.

...oh, just be aware of the poisonous nature of the solanum family. Just incase you have small children running around.
