My tree flowers very heavily every year and on the whole looks very healthy, however I am concerned this year about the blackfly. It is very thick and I worry that it may harm the tree. What can I do to get rid of it without causing harm to the leaves.

or for a quick cure use a spray bottle and water and washing up liquid . this gets rid of them easy enough.

Only use this 'cure' if your washing up liquid is environmentally friendly though... otherwise it is putting toxins into the soil.
