Hi, I've tried lots of plant identifiers and can't find anything that matches - can anyone help? The annoying thing is that I am sure I know what it bus, I just can't remember....
Many thanks in advance.

Hi I'd be interested to know this one too, does look like a viburnum leaf but can't find single flowered one ?

Is it flowering now? If so, it isn't a Japanese anemone - they flower much later.

Also have a look at Abutilon, is this in flower now?

How about rubus 'Benenden'?

Could be, looks like Rose family and my first thought was an ornamental bramble.

Thanks folks, those answers give me something to go off. And to answer a couple of the questions, yes, it is in flower now - it started about 10 days ago and has become more and more covered with blooms since then. I am in the NW of England by the way just in case that naked s difference. I thought it looked rose-like myself but there are no thorns and the branches are very long and straight and seem to 'shower' out from the central stem. It is a height of around 8 feet tall at best with a forest of maybe 12 feet altogether.

Looks like a variety of Japanese anemone? Flowers could be many shrubs but leaves look compatible.
