Take heel cuttings right now (short side shoots) of this years growth that you pull down and back off the parent plant. These should be semi ripe by now so perfect time to do it. Place a few in a pot (4-5in) with very gritty compost and cover with a poly bag. Place out of the sun in the garden but in light and check that they don't dry out. Stand pot couple of inches of water in sink for a few minutes to soak up rather than watering from above. After six to eight weeks they should have calloused at the cut point below and started producing roots. I would leave in the pot until spring and separate then just as you see signs of new growth rather than disturb the roots before that.
