What is the best liner material to use when your vegetable garden doesn't touch the ground since I'm not worried about weed control?
Would it be landscape cloth or plastic sheets with holes punched in it to allow for drainage?
I've stacked pallets 5 high and I've cut out slats to give me the depth I want where I want it.
Does it matter whether the lining material you recommend is installed on the inside of the pallets or the outside?

And the landscaping fabric (weed membrane) is probably best on the inside - if you've stacked pallets, there'll be gaps through which soil can escape, so putting the fabric on the outside won't necessarily stop that happening, whereas it will if placed on the inside, like a liner.

I would use weed-suppressant membrane (on the inside so that the wood doesn't rot) as it will allow drainage naturally. If you use plastic, you will have to punch a zillion holes to allow for adequate drainage.
