Hi
Before I start I have to admit I am not green fingered.
Can anybody tell me what this is, my wife got it in a bunch of flowers 2 weeks ago and it appears to be sprouting new shoots but no roots.
I would also like to know if it is suitable for planting in the garden and if so how do I go about getting it to root?
Thanks
Regards
Jon

I agree. They're not too expensive and you know exactly what you're getting - no surprises!

Fun though if you want to try....

Highly unlikely to root Pamg, that is a mature branch of the rhodo. Semi ripe cuttings are taken in August and a specific procedure needs to be followed, it isn't difficult if you know what you are doing and have access to the material. Species rhodos. can be grown from seed.

Hi, welcome to GoY, it looks as if it's a piece of Rhododendron stem, that has been used for greenery in the bouquet, the new growth is what would have grown this year, had it not been cut, I would think it highly unlikely to root, even if given plenty TLC, I would get rid of it, if you would like a Rhododendron, it's much easier to go to a garden centre, there is lots of choice, Derek.
