I have a twisted Hazel tree and its leaves have turned slightly crisp and gone a strange shade of brownish green. The tree has fresh new growth just above ground level, any ideas please. Thanks very much

Thank you both very much. I do try to water regularly, but perhaps just not enough, as you say very little rain this year. I will go straight away and water again. Will inform you if the tree improves.

Fairyd, I would not worry too much as these trees are pretty tough and it's very easy to take cuttings, that root so easily, maybe try a few in case ! but think your tree is probably shutting itself down to save energy for next year!

Sounds like one very thirsty tree, we have had very little rain, not sure but others might have a different opinion.
