Hi, it isn't an ideal time to divide anything while in flower, as you will more than likely lose the flowers as the plant tries to recover from the disturbance, having said that, if you must divide for some reason, prepare the ground that you're going to plant your divisions into, and get the hole ready before you do anything, then dig the plant up and divide it as quickly as possible, and straight into the new position/s, water well and never let them dry out until they get established in the new positions, Derek.
