Non flowering begonias?
I bought some tuberous begonia plugs last year which grew and flowered lovely, I overwintered the corms and replanted them this year, they are growing well, about 6 ins tall now, looking very healthy but not a sign of a flower bud! Any ideas please? I have fed them to try and encourage buds but nothing up to now.

Lots of things are late this year, due to the weather, so it's just a matter of being patient - they'll flower when they're ready. :)

They take their time. They need to be started off early to be in flower by now. Some of mine that were left in their pots dry all winter are only just showing buds now.

Also, too much fertilizer will promote foliage growth but retard flower growth. I would repot them up again with new potting mix, but do not use fertilizer. I think that's the problem.

How do I say thanks?
