Got a free packet of seeds in my gardening mag this week, poppy [blackcurrant fizz] the magizine says plant outside now, but on the packet it says may or late atumn, what would you advise ? thanks you, nellie .

Doesn't matter, both are correct. Annual poppies self seed so drop their seeds when they ripen in summer. As we are well into June perhaps you should wait until late summer now, but they may nor germinate until next year so remember where you put them.
