My umbrella tree has very sticky leaves. Whats the best treatment, I have also just repotted it.
It's probably infested with scale, mealybug, or even aphids. Look at the leaves and stems above the sticky parts to find the culprit. Systemic insecticide granules will probably work, but they can be quite slow--up to 6 weeks for the full effects. For faster work, take it outside in the shade, and spray it thoroughly with soapy water, to kill aphids, mealybugs, and immature scales. Mature scale need to be scraped off, gently, or dabbed with rubbing alcohol, and it may take a few weeks of occasional inspection to find them all.
