Where are you on the planet, is the soil acidic, or at least neutral, and have you kept watered if it has been dry?

And in a pot or in the ground? Any chance of a photograph?

I agree with Mg. Rhodies have a shallow root system and need to be kept moist especially now when it's setting buds for next spring. They also need acidic soil. Spreading pine needles around the base will help adjust soil acidity. Also, no direct sun. Rhodies need filtered sun. Morning or evening sun is OK.
