I moved a couple of years ago and had to leave behind my Buddlea and Hibiscus. I had got them from a garden centre and they bloomed shortly after I got them home.
When I moved to my new flat I bought a Buddlea and Hibiscus from a pound shop. They were like a couple of sticks when I got them but they have now grown and look very healthy. The Buddlea is about 3' tall and the Hibiscus slightly smaller. However, they are not flowering.
Does anyone know when they are likely to flower? I got a Forsythia at the same time from the same pound shop and it has grown like a Triffid and bloomed both last spring and this year too.

Thanks very much. Yes, I note others are now flowering but they are much bigger than mine. I am also growing toms so will try some of their feed on the buddlea.

Buddleja davidii should be flowering about now, maybe in a few weeks if it was dormant when you planted it. I use a trick to make recalcitrant ones flower - tomato feed. High potash encourages flowering.
