I apologize if this is a stupid question but......would it be possible for me to grow pineapples in my garden? (Even though I live in England).
I aam aware the climate here isn't ideal but I wasn't sure if I could use other techniques to successfully grow a pineapple.

In a hothouse in the UK, yes you can - outdoors, no, not if you want fruit. Here's a link to a story about the only fruiting pineapple (grown from a cut off top) apparently raised outdoors in England(bet they brought it in for winter though) but apparently, Kew gives tips on how to grow pineapple (not that I could find it online) but probably in a hothouse anyway

You can buy pineapple plants, or grow one yourself from a cut off top from a shop bought one, but they're usually just ornamental, with just a slight chance that, as a house or conservatory or greenhouse plant, given the right conditions and a bit of luck, you might get a pineapple fruit...

Lots of stately homes used to have pineapple houses using a hotbed in frames. If you google pineapple growing in England you can find out more about it. No chance overwintering outdoors.

PS No serious genuine question is stupid.

Yes, it can be done if you can provide the right conditions. After about a year, if you put an apple next to it and plastic bag over it, the ethylene gas will cause it to fruit.
