My raised border in a sunny position seems to be in trouble, lots of plants are sticky. Some are growing too spindly and tall, and look really sickly including the geraniums. . In the border is also a camelia, 2 oleanders [not faring too well] and my lovely honeysuckle which is almost leafless. Above the border from a rear garden there is a eucalyptus tree which has shot up over the past 2 years and overhangs the border. That's all the information I can think of. Please help.

Photographs would help, but it sounds like your once sunny bed is now part shaded by the Eucalyptus, and the roots of that tree are likely sucking all the water and nutrients from your bed. Which means you might need to rethink what's planted there, or talk to the neighbours about keeping their tree regularly pruned (it will reach over 55 feet in short order, they're fast growing), or just keep watering and watering.
Without photos, this is a guess really - there may be other problems with your plants - stickiness sometimes indicates aphid infestation, spindliness may be shortage of nutrients and water, but more likely insufficient light, if the woody plants are sticky, that may be scale infestation. Each variety of plant may be suffering from different problems, there are many possibilities.
