Plant ID! Our new house has this everywhere. Doesn't seem drought tolerant because I've withheld watering and it dries up and turns brown, although it has been hot. Any ideas?

I grow them in pots here as they're only semi hardy

I think they are lovely & good for covering banks. Didn't know they were half hardy as they seemed pretty permanent where I've seen them growing, mostly in the South & of course on the coast, where they don't get frost.
Keep some.

Thanks! Will definitely keep some and plant other things around them. I'm trying to go from sprinklers to drip system - I'm guess these ground cover types need full coverage sprinklers?

Or drip tubing.

It's an Osteospermum, Ben. Supposedly drought tolerant, but not in the sort of heat we have been experiencing, here in the West. It looks like an old kind that I used to sell 30 years ago, but I can't remember its name now. One of the two trailing varieties that used to be called "Freeway Daisies".
