I bought this lysimachia off ebay a few years ago as 'Clethroides' which I'm pretty sure it isn't, does anyone have any idea which variety it is gets to around 21/2ft and the flowers are quite small only a couple of inches, reminds me a bit of ephemerum but doesn't have the same grey foliage, the stems go red in autumn, just starting to change now.

You're right Barbara, just googled it, thanks for that :-), yes it does spread quite well, but not as rampant as some.

OK....I won't leave a huge space for it, then. (Can you imagine me doing that anyway? LOL) You're welcome, by the way. :-)

HA! It's definitely not L. clethroides, Kathy - but i bought a new one at the Flower Show yesterday, and I think yours is the same - L. fortunei. I'm told that it spreads, and I'll be quite pleased if it does, to take the place of some of the pink geraniums. :-))
