What is the best plant to cover a large wooden fenced area? Preferably that can be planted soon?

there are many plants you can consider the commonest ones are clematis, honeysuckle, passionflower, Jasmines etc. but what you chose will depend on what Moongrower has mentioned.

Planted soon - whatever you plant it won't start to grow until next year now. Do you want the plants to cling to the fence, grow on a trellis fixed to the fence or grow up in front of it? (You might consider that option if there's a likelihood that the fence might rot or blow down in high wind)
