You can make rose hip syrup - high in vitamin C and jelly... The snag is the hips are hell to sort out! Leave little hooky bits in your fingers!

If you put "rosehip processing" into Google, there's information there about precisely what you have to do in order to use rosehips for anything at all - its a long and mucky process, involving double straining, etc.

Remember mother doing when we were children... took hours!
