I have big chunks being taken out of my San Marzano tomatoes growing in the greenhouse. Any ideas? My husband swears it is not him. They are delicious, but I am not prepared to share them with any creatures. Do mice eat tomatoes? They are only choosing the ripe red ones growing near the bottom of the pot.

They are pretty big chunks, but that is a good suggestion I hadn't considered. I will put a slug trap in there to see what I get. Thanks

I would be looking for fruitworm, but I don't know if that's a problem across the pond.

I don't think we have those in the UK!

Count your blessings! Slugs are likely, birds are possible, especially if the missing chunks are triangular, and I have seen grasshoppers chewing on green tomatoes, too.

One possability could be slugs but am sure the more knowledgable members will be able to give more possabilities.
