Just got a small, young olive tree about 25cm high in a 10cm pot. What's the best way to care for it over the winter?Hope to grow in a large container eventually

Yea, depends where you are and how bad the winter is - in built up areas in the south and west of the UK, they're fine outdoors stood in a sunny, sheltered spot - in an average winter, but not in a freezing one.

In colder areas, keep it in a sunny conservatory or bay window over the winter.

« Hi - can anyone tell me what variety or cultivar of rose this is? Thanks
I bet it's lovely, Gaa. We need to know where you live to answer your question . . . if you are in the UK the Olive will need protection in the cold months. Any frost-free place should be fine, with good light, and occasional watering.
