Will Ceanothus plants grow in Kansas , do they need full sun and how to water?

They will perform well in full sun, but will be very happy with a little shade during the hottest part of the day in summer. Do you have the Summer blooming or Spring blooming variety? These are drought tolerant plants. Be careful not to over-water.

Kansas is much too cold for the coastal evergreen species, though varieties of the hybrid C. x delilianus will give the blue color on a hardy, deciduous shrub.
