People who have acres. I'm looking for a taller acer tree to go with my smaller bushes. Does anyone know where I can get one online or of a specialist place? As the ones I'd reserved to view weren't quite right.

Are you specifically looking for Japanese Acers Dan, the shruby ones with the bright red leaves or for something larger. There are a whole range of acers which grow into trees. I particularly like the Snake-bark Acers, eg Acer davidii for its very attractive trunk. I have no recomendation for a seller, though, sorry.

I love the Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood.' It grows to about 20 feet. The foliage is almost purple, but turns a brilliant red in Autumn. Crocus will deliver one to you for 22 or so.

Hi Dan, have a look at these, you can more or less get any size you want at ; www.jacksonsnurseries.co.uk/plants/plant-type/japanese-acers/
I've never bought from them personally, but they seem to have a very wide choice of sizes, colour etc, Derek.
