You're welcome. I'm pleased to know you've been able to keep it. I have never had any success with them, although I've got several other Kalanchoes which I grow with no trouble at all :)

I only use them as annuals in the summer flower bed.

They're winter and early spring blooming perennials where I live, but too tender for that use anywhere there is serious frost. They make good indoor plants with very bright light, coarse, fast-draining compost, well spaced watering, and regular, half strength feeding. To form flower buds, it needs protection from artificial light, like poinsettias and Holiday cactus.

Houseplant for me and I have had some for 8 years now. flower regularly too. I wonder why you cant keep the Hywel? after all you seem to have the knack with succulents/cacti etc.

i seem to have started a thread, lol, thanks for all your replies all have been a great help, I didn't do anything special with it, as I say it came out of a mothers day basket, I re potted it and just watered it liberally, then in sept I noticed some growth so I again re potted it and its turned into what it is, I can assure you no level of skill was involved, beginners luck I think, I will repost some pictures when it flowers

thanks
Steve
